Did you know that during the Nazi occupation of Norway in WWII Norwegians used paperclips as a symbol of resistance, wearing them as a sign of solidarity and unity. It was a subtle yet defiant act of resistance against occupiers and local Nazi authorities. The paperclip, representing the concept of “we are bound together,” became a visual symbol of unity and resistance. This idea started with students and teachers as a spontaneous grassroots movement.

This movement is coming back and with my Norwegian descent, I have decided I would like to contribute to this movement! I have created these beautiful paperclip earrings that can be worn at any time to show your stance.

The paperclips are about the size of a quarter (see picture in comment below), the hooks are sterling silver plated, hypoallergenic and include a clear silicone stopper. Additionally, I chose to use paperclips with hearts to show a little extra love ♥

Please note: if you purchase “paperclip only”, you will not get any additional hardware. This is perfect if you’d like to put it on a chain for a necklace or add it to a pin.
